Description
These are Aji Limon Chilli seeds of the capsicum chinense variety. There are actually two different chilli plants which often get mixed up. They can variously be called Aji Limon, Aji Limo, Aji Lemon, Hot Lemon or Lemon Drop! Although these seeds are c. chinense, there is also a c. baccatum variety, which is much milder.
The chilli plant produces many bright yellow pods which have a mid-high heat level, close to a habanero, and a delicious citrus flavour. They are used in traditional Peru cooking.
